To begin again

The pain is far too much to bare,

I doubt anyone will care.

I lie to myself,

Just like I lie to everyone else.

They all won't understand.

They'll think it's pretend.

Only everone's lined up,

Single file.

Waiting for me to let them in.

That might take a while.

I'm petrified,

I'm terrrified.

What if they only want to,

See how messed up I really am?

What if it's only fun and games for them?

Or maybe I'll find a true friend.

There are people who care,

And will be there for you.

Their intentions will be true,

It's left up to you.

To let them in,

And begin again.
