why do we have one day
to celebrate their life in a special way
for all the things they do
every time its something new.

for all the love they show
for all their radiance and their glow
for all the thoughts in their head
even when they sleep in their bed. 

they teach us so many things
from flying pans to diamond rings
for all the sacrifice they make 
and keep it buried in a lake.

if they love it all out
if they hate its all out
sometimes in between
sometimes good but mostly mean. 

you can love them or hate them
but cant live without them
so lets not have one day
but celebrate them in every way.
