CPA Annual Poetry Contest
The Canadian Poetry Association has just announced the judge for its annual poetry writing contest. This year, the CPA is pleased to welcome publisher, author, and poet – Joe Blades, to judge the competition. An active member of the BlackTop Motorcycle Gang writers’ group, President of the Canadian Poetry Association, and author of numerous chapbooks; you can fins out more about Joe Blades on his website, at:

The theme this year is People’s Poetry, and the competition is open to everyone. The deadline is 30th December 2009, and full details can be found on the website at:
You must follow the guidelines for the competition or your entry will not be accepted. There is a charge of 25$ Canadian for 5 poems (paypal on site), and the three cash prizes on offer for the poems placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, will be determined by the number of submissions. The announcement of winners will be made, online, at the beginning of March 2010.
The money raised from the contest goes towards the funding of the Canadian Poetry Association’s magazine – POEMATA.
