Still life
Noel and Liam have still not made up
And it looks like the millers will
never win the cup
Theresa is still in number ten
And not much has changed since
Maggies den
We are still plagued with mass unemployment
Far too many are becoming insolvent
Everywhere people sleeping on the street
Too many families with nothing to eat
Still we can't bridge the north south divide
People still wait for a ticket to ride
The NHS has been brought to it's knees
With nobody there to answer the pleas
With cuts to police force crime will Be rife
And everyone lives on the edge of a knife
Will we ever get out of this rut
And wear the boot on the other foot
The Sun makes its fortune from pedaling lies
As little by little our economy dies
And nobody knows what brexit will bring
For many alarm bells are starting to ring
But from Rotherham to Manchester, Glasgow to Fife
As bad as it gets this is still life.

We used to have a our own business until the recession hit and the balifs ended up on the doorstep because we couldn't pay the bills
Now I'm working for minimum wage
In our town there are dozens of people living on the streets
The NHS and police force need more money
I don't want to emigrate, I like living in this country.
All I want is to see the money go to the right places.
