One day this education,

Will create a quite beautiful nation.

A nation of understanding intellectuals.

A nation accepting of homosexuals.

They will see that this world's hate,

Is not of one's choice, but merely of fate.

Ask the lesbians and the gays,

They will tell you it is not "just a phase."

God's tears soar through the air,

Inside we all know that this is not fair.

Unfair to be humiliated.

Unfair to be isolated.

The sad reality of this is true,

Too many people are hurting and blue.

They feel they are out of place,

Like they are aliens, a segregated race.

They question their exsistence,

Running on the fumes of their patience.

They wish to kick the can,

Although God has sight of a different plan.

God, the creator of the future,

Shows his love as the much needed suture.

They hope they can live another day,

They pray they can find another way.

They want to get through this,

Is the plan a hit or a miss?

They just want to be accepted.

Daily they are neglected.

The patience running thinner,

Will they make it to the next dinner?

This isn't fake, this is real.

It's actually a very big ordeal.

A problem too many people face.

Problems too terrible for this awful place.

These people struggle in body, mind, and heart.

The homosexuals truly have an art.

The art to survive,

The stuggle to thrive.

Not many will make it this far,

If you look, you may often find a scar.

Maybe you'll find a few on their arm,

From when they did themselves harm.

They hoped for their blood to drain,

Hoping they would forget the pain.

They've now found their purpose.

Now they don't feel so worthless.

They have finally been heard,

They are allowed to spread their word.

Their tears have been dried,

They haven't cried,

In quite a while.

Now they have a reason to smile.

Be kind to others,

For they are your sisters and brothers.
