Forbidden Love (Part 1)
If I follow you into the darkness of the night,
can I trust you to tell me it's alright?
If I run away with you and don't look back,
can I count on you to cut me some slack?
That's what Larissa thinks as she watches Sam sleep,
so peaceful and gentle.
His eyes open a peep.
"Larissa..." he says, eyes full of love.
"Sam, I would do anything for you." she replies,
making up her mind.
He sighs and rubs his eyes,
stretching his legs out.
"I wish it didn't have to be this way, I really do,
but there isn't anything in the world that I wouldn't give up for you.
I can't fight it, Larissa, my excuses are weak.
Even though our parents can't stand it
and society calls us freaks,
I see right past them.
How much longer can we do this for?
Our secret company?
Will our parents find out?
Will it cease to be?"
"Sam, don't say that.
I don't care anymore.
I used to be so conflicted.
School and home.
Parents and friends.
Now I've sorted it out and through the mess is you."
They fell back onto the bed, in each other's arms.
Nothing in this world could ever pull them apart.
This forbidden love would either
be their savior or
be their downfall.
