Gang 13

Gang 13

I don’t want to be in your gang
I’m heartsick at the games you play
While I am busy building a life
You are busy taking them away.
I don’t want to be in your gang
I don’t want to maim or kill
Don’t want to sell women’s bodies
Don’t want to poison kids with pills.
I don’t want to be in your gang
So you’ve made my life a living hell
Driven me from the land I love
But I’m alive and live to tell
one day in the autumn of my years
I know I will hear your death knell
Heed me well
Heed me well
Heed me well!

An excellent surprise to read out to the young sending over a clear message of what not to get involved in.
Drugs, violence and grooming, snowballing in our society must definitely be quelled.

Nicely captures the situation of one person taking on - and saying no to - a mass mentality of modern societal violence.

Eve,

Do I detect the voice of prophecy? I think so. Another excellent poem

Thank you

Keith
