Tonight

tonight

been mostly faking it

the few times I’ve been real

I think you know

I’m shocked

by my own ignorance

as much as by

the happiness of others

I hear the circulation in my ears

look at the stars and wonder

if I’ll have time to read

all the books I’ve bought

Imposter syndrome. I can relate. And to the pile of books. Another great poem.

I often have the same problem Robert. Will I have enough time to read all the books I have collected and still seem to collect. George Orwell once wrote a short story on his inability to keep up with both his cigarette and book habit. It wasn't the books that led to his early demise.
