Life would be better

Through the eyes of a bee

To drink in life’s nectar

I’d imagine it quite lovely

 

Heart and wing beat a flutter

Known by all for my constant mutter

Never strike a foe with regret

One sting and life is forfeit.

 

Yet, I’d end it all to save my queen

There is no such bee as pristine

It’s a long-shot, but maybe she’ll see

All the love from this worker bee.
