pretending to trust our opinions 

 

buried now legalese 

threatened but feeling open

 

body works automatically

skill covers enthusiasm lacking 

 

but at some point we were right 

at some point we were happy 

 

what’s it doing to us 

we can’t even discuss 

 

not a question of vanities 

or specific gravities 

 

feeling like we suck

at monkey or robot 

 

not getting love we need 

with this situational insanity
