LITTLE THINGS

 

Such a cliche thing to say nowadays,

But do we realize how much two words weighs.

 

See sometimes we miss the bigger picture,

We get caught up in the fancy “this and that” mixture.

 

It is when someone writes you a letter,

Turning your bad day into a whole lot better.

 

It is when you receive a handmade gift,

Right at the end of a really bad shift.

 

It can be dancing in the middle of the parking lot,

Knowing this is the moment your heart’s been caught.

 

It could be sitting and watching the sun fall,

Both people in silence not worrying about a single phone call.

 

Or you might be lounging in between those sheets,

Hands on hands, legs on legs, and feets on feets.

 

However the moment be and whatever it brings,

Just know to appreciate those little things.
