Come In, Come Home
(Inspired by walking the West Highland Way)
Here I am and here I stand,
Gazing out upon this land,
In awe of sights that fill my eyes,
Its peace, its beauty and its size.
The wilderness before me stretched,
A "Mirror" which I see reflect,
The depths and heights inside of me,
The longing I have to be free.
It dips, it curves, it rests, it stands,
This wildest of our wildest lands,
It's gentle slopes and savage peaks,
It calls to me, it sings, it speaks.
It says, "Come stand where you belong,"
"Come listen to my words, my song,"
"Forget the noise, the stress, the grief,"
"Come let them go, absorb relief."
"And in my wild and rolling lands,"
"Come rest your soul in my sweet hands,"
"And let your mind and body roam,"
"Come in my child, come in, come home."
