Ghosts and Gods
Is the shadow you cast from the sun
the same
as that
sent flooding from the moon?
A man can lose his mind in under a minute
from a lifetime
of non-locality and shadows
become his heroes.
He saw the space inside people,
The vast airs within atoms,
The insubstantial chasm
Between electrons
Like flying deserts in tiny skies
And he thought himself into oblivion.
We are the monsters that hide
beneath the bed,
the phantoms in the woods
We are the reason ghosts
and gods
leave the light on.
We are the dim outline imitating
beings we cannot imagine
as they slink in their way
under many unthinkable suns
followed by us, dark emptiness.

The darkness is behind us all the time and we spend our time flying from the endless empty, which is why religions were invented... Not that so many tell you anything but 'kill the none-believers'. "Test all things and hold to that which is good" (somebody said that, not me, but how do you know?)
