You would never believe me

You would never believe me if I told you that..
there are thorns in my conscience..
Of leaving faith and allegiance..

You would never believe me if I told you that..
there are hidden layers to the spoken truth..
Persistent lies lived in the times of youth..

You would never believe me if I told you that..
dark demons still reside in these caverns.
Dark and light shades of morality yet to discern..

You would never believe me if I told you that..
there are long battles raging within..
Life of  a kindred spirit is yet to begin.

You would never believe me if I told you that..
There is a subtle impending sense of doom..
But a tiny seed of hope has found fair ground  to blossom and bloom..

Mona,

One of the best poems I have read for some while as it is beautifully crafted. The repetetive line at the beginning of each stanza is a work of art. Thank you for this.

Keith
