A huge threat hanging over sheer beauty,

As the planners see it all as their duty,

to allow fat cats to trick them with compromise,

in order to see pound signs in each other’s eyes.

Governments will come and some will go,

but the beauty of our countryside

will continue to glow, with stunning new discoveries every day, and that’s one reason why we have to have  our say,

on matters more important than money,

like protecting the bees who just want to make honey.

Flora and fauna that shimmer, shine and dine off the wild, so beguiling, it’s yours and mine!

Ah yes, the Moss, once noted for its heathers, ferns,

the richness of its wildlife with birds, lizards, newts, frogs, and toads, even buzzards, foxes, voles and moles. 

But there are those who want to turn our local beauty, into hell on earth, to gain their booty, with the guise that they need to house of course, but the truth is something far, far worse.

Despite Its rich history so medieval, this is ignored by plans of destruction and evil.

Profit from buildings over heather and fern, and a real life opportunity for our children to learn, about things that matter and mean so much, instead of how to make money and to profit a lot, from the spot we know as Carrington Moss.

So do help those in their quest to conserve, nature,

and all that’s good about the earth,

Lend a hand in their fight for survival, as they battle

and challenge the enemy, our  rival...GREED
