The Journey
Carefully I raise you up,
Onto my shoulder,
Your safe now.
Slowly I guide you
through the journey
We all must take.
We carry you into the peaceful garden
You are your own audience.
I wonder how many he has done this week,
The earth in his hands,
He controls the ancient ground.
We must lower you peacefully,
Your safe now.
You may watch back your own life,
Like a film.
A story of courage,
You are your own audience.
You are safe in the great theatre,
Roses grow from the cup holders
A most magnificent miracle.
Once again you smell nature.
Look ahead of you,
See who you dine with on the elegant table
They are safe now.
This is your feast,
These are your guests,
Set me a place,
Though I may be a while.

Hi - I read this as a sort of death. Although i do seem to have a fixation for it at the moment!
"These are your guests,
Set me a place,
Though I may be a while"
It's as if a soul has been guided toward heaven by yourself or another. The acceptance that heaven or an afterlife exists and the resignation that you too will perhaps one day be with them.
Excellent poem Richard
