I Need You
Hold me as if I was weightless, take gravity's hands off my shoulders and just hold me for awhile
Shut out the rest of the world and give me a moment of peace
Rock me back and forth in your waters
Slow down time, slow my movements, slow the sounds that reach my ears
Wash me, clean me of all the filth I have picked up from the despicable deeds I have committed
Sing me a lullaby from your winds
Whisper sweet words of hope and compassion in my ear
Block out the harsh thoughts of cruelty that spew from demon lips
Warm me with the light from your sun
Melt away the shards of ice that pierce my heart
Give me the feeling of life once more
Shade me from the sight of others when the tears flow from me
Hide my weakness from a world that wishes to exploit it
Take away my vision, do not let me see the blood that seeps from the wounds to my heart
Give me a sturdy ground to hold me up when my knees are weak
Do not let me fall through the cracks
Hold me up when I cannot take another step
Support my burden when it threatens to crush me
I came from you, take me back into your arms when my time is up
When I have nothing more to give or gain from this life please let me sleep in your embrace
Please take me into you and recycle my life. Let my end be the beginning of another
That way I shall know that at least something good came from my life and my death
That my existence was beneficial to the world in some way
Hold me. Hug me. Give me the strength to simply be.
Mather Nature I need you
