Don't Sell Your Soul Part I (re-post) & Part II
Don't Sell Your Soul
Part I (originally posted 4/23/19)
I told him not to sell his soul
That it would be unwise
The devil cheats and always wins
The end is your demise.
I told him not to sell his soul
It would be careless and askew
Satan laughs at all the fools who follow at his shoe.
I told him not to sell his soul
That he would never get it back
To find success, you must be strong
You've got to stay on track.
I told him not to sell his soul
For he could be the one
That he should seek enlightenment
But not lose sight of home.
I told him not to sell his soul
The pain would never end
Agony and heartache
Will be your only friends.
I told him not to sell his soul
I begged him, please, do not!
Lucifer will tell you lies
He'll take everything you've got.
I told him not to sell his soul
To himself he must be true
And for those who love him,
Do the same.
Don't sell your soul
Don't play that game
Part II
I told him not to sell his soul
But he just could not wait
He wanted money, fortune, fame
Now it is too late.
I told him not to sell his soul
Alas he did not listen
He bargained with his very life
And now toils in contrition.
I told him not to sell his soul
Yet my pleas he did not heed
He sold it to Beelzebub
All because of greed.
I told him not to sell his soul
I really miss my friend
The Prince of Darkness claimed his prize
And so this is the end.
Please don't ever sell your soul
To the Infernal Duke
Even in an offhand way
It may not be a fluke.
I told him not to sell his soul
And now I tell you too
The deal can never be undone
No matter what you do.
Don't play that game, for if you do
You always must remember
That once within the Gates of Hell
Your soul you must surrender.
Don't sell you soul.

I really enjoyed this Lisa, fantastic use of language and a great reminder to resist that temptation. ?
