STICKS & STONES

STICKS & STONES

sticks and stones
may break bones
me they don't know
my soul they don't own
they can talk and talk
while i walk the walk
won't let words hurt
or drag me through the dirt
won't be pushed aside
or run and hide
can tear me down
won't be their clown
can point and laugh
be smiling last
take their knocks
keep building blocks
take their best shot
be showing what i got
gossip and lies
above i rise
no shrinking violet
this flight i'm gonna pilot
trash me...hit send
be winning in the end
yes they can troll
while i'm on a roll
not gonna stop
climbing to the top
let them throw shade
while i'm getting made
they'll be going low
while i grow...grow...grow
when they're eating crow
i'll be in flow
they can talk the talk
while i walk the walk
sticks and stones
may break bones
me they don't know
my soul they don't own
