Learning to Fly

My 'DragonFlyDark' was at top speed,
her wings spread out wide and full
rarely given the chance to fly,
and rarely to ever so Low!

But I caught her sharp, up on the edge,
and pulled upon her reins...
"Woah there my great black beauty"
today is not your day.

My faithful dragon
yearns to please
I've got to watch her food,
whichever emotion she devours
becomes her driving mood.

So to the sun, we did turn
our faces, one by one.
Together we took a mighty breath
began to have some FUN.

Up into the mind we'll fly
in search of others of our kind,
and low and behold, within WriteOutLoud,
the Jabberwoke lurks.

Another dragon to respect is here,
who plays with, and shares the 'Light'.
Beware the solicious darkness he says,
in an inspirational invitation to Write!!

An inspiration to my heart
A message to myself

"Choose which dragon you fly each day,
and lovingly prepare her food.
Fill her full of love and joy
and stop being a bloody fool!"

'DragonFlyLight' is her true name
she sings, and writes and more,
"Embrace the serpent inside yourself,
for it is their strength
 that will open new doors."
