Find the Light
The deal we get dealt
Can be heart felt.
It can change our lives,
Create nose dives.
The way we face our pain,
Is not for personal gain.
It steals our health,
Affects our wealth.
It breaks our spirit,
Pushes us to our limit.
When we walk in the darkness,
It’s hard to raise awareness.
We may feel alone,
Lost in a friend zone.
Feeling judged,
Tears smudged.
On life’s battle field,
It may seem your fate is sealed.
Seeming hard to charge on,
Remember friends may not be gone.
They may have a personal battle,
Constricted by their own shackle.
Remember love is always there,
Holding us more than we dare.
Carrying us gently when we falter,
Running helpfully when we call her.
Face it bravely and with pride,
Even when worlds collide.
Sometimes there will be no light,
A tunnel empty, out of sight.
But even though it hides away,
Make sure you find it everyday.
