No Frontiers

 

Birds carry no passports

the wind blows where it wills

Rain falls where it pleases

the fox and owl know no boundaries

Music is heard internationally

God is worshipped in universality

families are separated by national documents

Passports exercise border control

tickets with taxes permit travel across them

Pollution flows through the air

colds and flu belong to no state

The sky covers us all

the sun shines on us all

Boundaries and frontiers

walls and fences, human creations

that divide, separate and discriminate

the human family

They keep economies in tact

and that is a fact

to make the wealthy and poor

They make armies, navies and airforces

to keep us in

and keep them out

Thousands die to travel and escape

exploited by the unscrupulous traffikers

Not one nation state

but one world

in harmony not discord
