Hunger

 

It is those less fortunate who understand the term.

Yet,

It is those blind to it who will never learn. 

 

It is the little one with bones popping out of his skin.

Still,

Those with sealed hearts don’t care what happens to him.

 

It is the piercing jab into your stomach causing awful pain.

However,

Those with full bellies always find ways to complain.

 

Hunger should be focused on for the weak.

Yet,

The focus has always been on filling our cheeks.
