Ten of Swords – Defeat – Complete stabbing in the back, an irrevocable ending
Ten of Swords – Defeat – Complete stabbing in the back, an irrevocable ending
Interpretation: This card indicate an utter complete betrayal and cheated defeat. The ten swords stabbing in the back tells me that there is no coming back from this type of betrayal. Only now death awaits on the other side when the darkness completely suffocates the light. This card also indicates that the seeker did not even see this betrayal coming and whoever it was that did the stabbing in the back was probably someone very close to the seeker, even perhaps in their close circle of friends or an enemy that managed to get close enough. This is a righteous betrayal. A betrayal of Will which flued by envy that has caused blood to spill.
This card also indicates that the situation or relationship is at an end and now it is time to suffer the consequences of your actions. If you were the one doing the betrayal this card shows that you have done so much damage that there is no coming out of this positively. There is too much sadness and pain caused which is using the seeker to feel mentally isolate and a chance may have to be forced upon you, without you even having a say in the matter. There is no salvaging anything here and you are going to have to let go of dying circumstances or beliefs to make room for the future.
Reversed: The worst is over. Evil has been overthrown and courage will be your success in turning towards a higher moral standard. You are going to emerge from the darkness and step back into the light. The time of suffering is over. The righteous betrayal had not come to pass and you have come out of the worst alive. The problems will begin to resolve themselves and you must stay positive for something good will emerge from the pain you endured. With every ending come a new beginning and something unknown lies ahead, however heed the warning of this card and never forget that you need to be more careful who you trust in the future. Next time you may not be so lucky to get off so easily.
