With innocence

Life was never the same

that was not for me to claim

the innocent period remained memorable

I was too much liked by the people

 

I had never a caring approach

and as such

excelled in studies

and in sports as well

 

with steps moving towards adulthood

everything was understood

the innocence was taken over by connivance

and that attitude remained and showed the presence

 

life gave me so much

and reached a peak

with a lot more to speak

using all sorts of tricks

 

life may need a few lies

but one must try

and content with whatever he has

as it remains a crucial phase

 

the school days remain golden

as if the vacation period in heaven

that innocence shall neither descend

nor guide with the same trend
