Do it anyway
Expressing isn't always about impressing
Sometimes it's a confession
Or the regression of a memory
It might even be
About a maybe
A one day me
That I only see
Approximately more clearly
When it's put into words
It could seem absurd
When it's read
Or tis' heard
But they must be released
In order to cease
My mental marathon
When a reader has felt
What was meant
It may soothe
Yet a writer's mood
May exclude
The need for inclusion
When the 'wrong' conclusions
Are drawn, they may
Just feel an intrusion
Yes, this is confusing
For once you say, what you say
You GIVE it away
It becomes a reader's conclusion,
A listener's insight
It doesn't really matter, as long as I write

Good one Nigel, yes it's all about keeping the flow of writing going, from the wonky first drafts to something more worthwhile. As Don says all we can but hope that the readers will be curious to read more of what we're writing, and want more!
