What we face
What we face
A tangled web of attraction and addiction
draws us to an epicentre of confusion and distraction
Repulsed by hatred, ignorance and prejudice
we walk on broken glass in the place where pigs lay
Lured by compulsive desire and rampant lust
we are thrown off course in a haze of dust
Cheated by lies and the voices of eternal deceit
clarity of thought becomes a dense fog like ghost
Moods change as does the weather which blows at will
once calm then irritated or fuelled by anger or resentment
A quagmire each with a pull upon the soul
the mind in perpetual turmoil struggles to grasp
Choices and decisions confound the best of heart
mistakes require remedy and reconciliation
Little wonder we flounder and fail
in a sea which becomes a whirlpool
A cataclysm of endless thoughtfulness
a kaleidescope of a world made manifest

Wow Powerful indeed such a strong resonance here. I dare I say it, possibly one of your finest pieces Keith
