Like-Minders Society Renewed Attempt to Heal Rift With Traditional Poets Association

 

The Like-Minders Society

Broke away from

The Traditional Poets Association because

They couldn't flap their offbeat wings

 

They became frustrated. Understandable

 

The TPA were peeved. Also understandable

No-one likes breakups

 

The LMS first attempt to heal the rift

Was an utter failure

So they retreated to their Back Room

And have returned for another attempt

 

It appears TPA have entered the ring first

 

Offbeaters you have lost the plot

Our Willy Shakes is not impressed

You do not know your thee's from thou's

The laws of verse you've buggered, messed

 

But traditional poet please hear us out:

 

Doth thee not accept us now?

Offbeat tho we are

We still do have our Shakespeare roots

(Except we now drive cars)

 

No. Piss off.....

 

It seems another failure

 

So we see LMS retreat to their

Back Room planning powerhouse once more

To organise another tactic

Led by their veritable leader (and secretary)

 

We await in hope for a rapid rift repair to this lamentable situation. Rifts between poet groups is not good.
