A Storm is Coming

I’m looking at the big sky

Not just my favourite piece

Abundance of selfish thinking

Putting everyone in doubt

Of the true purpose of what it’s all about.

 

I’m not giving anything to anyone

Is the mantra taken up

What’s good for me is all I see

I disregard everyone else

A storm is coming, look after yourself.

 

A storm is coming, that’s a fact

Fires are raging, winds are howling, waters rising

World leaders spouting rhetoric

While big corp shows the finger

Bare faced lies create anger…but still linger.

 

The events of these times put us all to the test

Raise ourselves up or fall to the floor

There are no bonds that I can see

No second chances to come

No VAR to see how we’ve done.

 

Hope arrives! A way to prevent disaster

Policies delivered with integrity

A planet and people focussed plan

Stand tall and join the queue

Stand for the many, not just the few.
