Good enough

Battling in the heat, the haze
Humans at their best
Sixty homes razed to the ground
Embers meant no rest
One person died from nature's wrath
Tried to save his home
Would you do likewise? stay? defend?

I met mine way back when Philipos brought a bunch of them on a Bus Tour of WOL looking for mates. We hit it off on first sight. Not sure if any of the others scored. The bus was heading back to Mt Olympus I'm told.
