LMS Update 19/2/20

 

The Like-Minders Society (LMS) is a group of WOL poets who think alike and communicate via PM.

It focuses on the exploration of fantasy, imagination, humour, and offbeat poetry.

Back in October 2019 I started working on an idea of combining fantasy, imagination, humour and offbeat poetry. I called it the Like-Minders Society. From this initial idea grew the virtual Theme Park 'playground' of LMS. The Park has its own rollercoaster taking Like-Minders around to various themed stops where non-WOL poets present their offbeat work.

Poetry stops include Writers Corners, Traditional Poets Stamping Ground, Propper Spelling School, Haiku Workshop, Nonsense Research Centre, Budding Poets Audition Site and the Toilet Stop (an essential part of any self-respecting theme park).

My work is cut out scriptwriting, driving the rollercoaster, dealing with the two girls, Janet and pensioner couple. They can be a handful at times.

Offbeaters you've gone lost the plot

Our Willy's not impressed

You do not know your thee's from thou's

Our rules you've buggered, messed

 

But please traditional poets hear us out:

 

Doth thee still accept us?

Offbeat tho we are

We still do have our Shakespeare roots
