swim

Slip into the pool

First strokes move

Woman to water,

My rhythm settles

I reach out  hands to touch

This  tangible metamorphosis.

‘Cuisses de grenouille’

 amphibious in this element

 thoughts float through my mind,

I release them in the wake

In water, impermanence

is reality

another beautiful poem. i like the 'woman to water' bit- it makes me think of a swan landing and the reference to menopause makes it all real somehow. i want to connect. dead good x

I like this poem Carole - It has a very calming affect...
I especially like these lines:

'thoughts float through my mind,
I release them in the wake
In water, impermanence
is reality'

thought provoking and deep, two great qualities for a poem to have and both are present here.
