The poem is great, but when I was reading 'mood' I accidentally placed the word as 'hood'. Dammit! I rhyme even when I don't want to.
Concise but every word is worth its weight in lines.?

Thanks for always reading and supporting, Jon. Even from where you are right now, the support to me is invaluable. Distance means nothing when the help is genuine.??

This is something I can't work out. More people means more produced but spread around with more people, so no-one is more better off ??
Or am I missing something? ?

We do seem obessed with growth don't we? Real growth is due to increased productivity, but countries like UK are winging it due to a steadily increasing head count.

Hi Brian. I havn't been to Haven, but I've done Warners a couple of times and visited Allhallows- rather a sad place that never really became the Blackpool type destination envisaged originally. If you have kids it all makes sense, but Warners are mainly for oldies. In my career as musician I've been to most resorts from Worthing to Monte Carlo, - I'm not easily impressed; it's a great leveller when you have to go through the kitchens.
Thanks for your interest.
Cheers Big Sal, it's nice to be appreciated, really. My darker side (not really, you probably havn't seen that yet!
Thank you Peter. I do have a cold at the mo', but it comes in handy for voice effects! I'm pleased you picked up on the fact that the poem is really just the expression of a certain type.
Thanks Trevor. Yes, I can recall those days too. I once went to the camp featured on Hi de Hi . quite regimented and obligatory fun. Caravans were a move up for my folks, but they did hire them
when I was a kid. I'm sure you have a light footprint.
Season's greetings too Rich, Jon Anya and Jennifer Ray

I like it Eve though I'm not sure it's strictly factual e.g. one in every two children fed by food bank seems a bit on the high side.

There is always one in every crowd who don't seem to feel the cold in quite the same way as us mere mortals. I knew a New Zealand lad living in the U.K who would wear shorts all the year round.

I often have the same problem Robert. Will I have enough time to read all the books I have collected and still seem to collect. George Orwell once wrote a short story on his inability to keep up with both his cigarette and book habit. It wasn't the books that led to his early demise.

Beautiful. Liked a'snowcode note'. One sees all sorts of little tracks of birds and other wee beings that are not normally visible. The light in the bedroom is different when it has snowed, almost like the reflection of water on the ceiling when one is on a boat.

Well done yet again. Love Betjeman's Christmas, and Diary of a Church Mouse. He used to come into a place where I worked a great many years ago, and was always very jolly and friendly.

Absolutely! So many organisations 'big up' their customer-centric policies, but have you ever tried to contact someone who can give you a straight answer. I've had occasion to contact one such organisation on a couple of occasions recently, and both times I was directed to a web-chat queue. And was bombarded with obviously automated messages about how much they valued......

Great stuff!! It is really disheartening when people say 'be different, be yourself' and then you're pilloried for being different. In microcosm, it's like the great tradition of touting someone as a star in the making, then when they've made it, trying to muck-rake and drag them down. Really like this Elle.
