this poem inspired my latest piece which i have just posted. hope it does it some justice. obviously its me, so its batshit and barely like the original, but i have tried to run with the same feeling of coming undone. thanks lynn, i was struggling this morning but you have given me inspiration. thats the greatest gift one poet could give to another!

Hi Stu. Thanks for your comments and the fact that I've managed to create that image and link really does make be chuffed! Since writing, the song Neddles and Pins has popped into my head and I think I may struggle to get rid of a while and its starting to annoy me x

Hi Cynthia
Just to explain my brief comment : it was a knee jerk reaction to your equally terse comment of "no." following my plea for live poetry to be free of constraint and therefore not to be paid for. Obviously there is much more to the issue than I expressed, but I can sometimes go off at a tangent in my views and they may not coincide with the accepted norm. Such was the case here, but apparently you did not think it worthy of expanding on hence the "slap on the wrist."
I could have waxed on about it, but like you I have other demands on me . I hope there is a truce now!!
regards, Ray.

great imagery lynn! its dark and surreal, like tim burton imbued with sexual tension and marital strife. it reminds me a lot of this;

I place you alongside JC and J. Humble as the primary

hello huw
one of the great joys of the bible is how it can be taken in many different contexts. i would look at the words 'the harvest is passed, the summer is ended and we are not saved' and use it in relation to show how despite all our technology and great thinkers, we are no closer to finding the answer (ie - we are not saved). everyone uses the words of the bible differently, some literally, some metaphorically. with millions using and misusing the gospel daily, I would not worry to much about my context. im fairly sure a lot of people get the wrong impression anyway.

DIY in true hands-on style. Love the pay-off.
I always thought it was just keeping in practice...an
extension (?) of use it or lose it. Each to his (or her) own!

Thanks Stu. You have correctly analysed the poem - it was written as a piss take - I just wondered why some of the stuff presented is just tarted up conversation.
I'm not sure if the word "blog" resonates with the spirit of inner exploration - I think not.
It does sound pretentious and "snobby" to elevate art , but it is worth some effort.
By the way my sofa is a disgusting resting place !

Blimey! The Hughes family's gift to commentators and critics that keeps on giving, sadly. Intrigue, as ever with Hughes, Plath, etc. In the Heptonstall cemetery where Plath is buried there is another grave, that of Asa Benveniste - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asa_Benveniste -
and the inscription reads: foolish enough to have been a poet.
Old Ted must sometimes think the same as he looks down/up.

The effort you have made here is obvious, i must applaud your determination. You have achieved the 5-7-5 syllable arrangement and also announced your work as a 'Haiku',
this is an impressive start and I believe you can develop even further, i would love to see your amazing progress.

Sounds like a personal domestic tragedy. Enduring the loss
of a sentient animal in sudden circumstances can be very
traumatic even though animals like cats have the need to
wander, often far beyond their own homes, and that can
only add to the risk of getting the bad news...although
it is usually a vehicle that is the cause.

I accept that citizens of any particular country must make
sure they know the law as it stands there but there seem
to be some countries whose system of law has no place in the modern world. Step forward Iran - with your medieval
fear-driven socio-religious controls. Maybe - just maybe -
in the times to come, your place in the world will be
earned and given respect and admiration. But on
present evidence that is a long long way off.
Avaaz should be taking up the cause of these two voices
in the wilderness.
