Don't know the poet but I love the sounds and I like to read the occasional love poem. You should try recording it.

Hi Andy - thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed it. I am trying not to comment too much on any of the other Pandora poems, as I want to include my thoughts in the end summary. I also didn't want to be influenced by other's thoughts whilst writing. I have enjoyed yours though and am so glad that you took part. What has been great about this competition is the community spirit I feel in the air. Great poets getting together to have some fun. It's not every day things like that happen...

I dreamt of delusions sometimes myself still and I am older than I will admit... I think we all do to some degree when we are 15..
I loved this.. nicely structured, chuck.. x

i could really relate to this - your best one on here yet, I felt..

Love these lines ...
"Concealing my growing admiration
For that High-school crest
Displayed magnanimously on her heaving chest"
Brought back memories of the school bus, after all these years ...

Hi Andy - sorry I couldn't chat. Was in middle of trying to sort out audio on my poem. I hate rushing poetry - too many loose ends, things I don't really like. Ended up changing it and then it didn't tie up to the recording. It won't seem to take the new recording though. Blast and double blast - that will teach me to rush things...

I like this one! Esp. those first three lines - and the last bit (after "Then suddenly; Light") is particularly lovely too.

Liked these lines very much:Spinning made me
and I spin still.
Smoothed thumb and finger
and wet earth
from honest mud.
That was my birth.
The gods made me to carry the can.
Poor womankind, to get the blame from man.
Though you could probably omit "from honest mud" same as wet earth, really!

Thank you Francine - I haven't performed in 8 years and am weaning my way back slowly. An audio may be a good place to start. I'll try to figure out the technicalities as I'm all too new to this. Glad you found it funny though! Always a good thing. Nash

TC, thanks for your excellent observation. My prior comment was obtuse; so I axed it. Your remarks are in themselves very apt for us all.

Hell Andy. Liked the first two verses very much, the dominoes thing is fine, maybe "on" the nearby coastline?3rd verse I think you could end at "struggle to contain". 4th verse, how about:trying to impersonate Greek goddesses, in reality loking more like The Gorgons?I think it tails off a bit toward the end, but an interesting read, much enjoyed.

Chris: alternative poetry was always my aim in my youth. So, proud about your comments, thanks.
Isobel: you have no idea how much that is watered down from the reality of some of the things I have been approached with since entering into singledom!
Much love to you both, Nash

This made me laugh! I know a number of people who've tried on line dating agencies. It is quite common place for people to wipe 5-10 years off their age and post pictures taken 20 years ago - much like WOL really - why do you think I stick with a wine bottle?

Re your comment on Pandora's Box -you are getting me worried Andy!
The competition is just a bit of fun - not to be taken too seriously. I am fascinated by how one theme can be developed so differently by so many. All of the poems reflect beautifully the personalities and stlyes of the poets. How does one compare apples and pears? The more I think about it, the less I want to be the judge...

Well for me this is the Panodra's box of poetry. You start to write a piece and it turn's out completely different than intended, taken in this context it is a total success.

My Brother, My friend, what a blessing to have met and fellowshipped with you.
My heart weeps for the pain inflicted upon yours and so many others by our people of South Africa.
