Speaking of Women

To mark International Women’s Day the Universities and Colleges Union and the School of Arts and Social Sciences at Northumbria University invite you to an evening of readings and performances celebrating women’s voices across arts and cultures, followed by a drinks and refreshments reception.
Speakers include the internationally- renowned photographer Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen, novelist and poet Jessica –Cooke Morley, poets Joan Hewitt (Cinnamon Press) and Pauline Plummer, Turkish poet Tuba Dogan, and Bosnian poet Irena Carlton. Fiona Macpherson will read a poem by the late Julia Darling.
