Open Mic Event

A new venture to promote poetry in the community, with a format midway between Poetry Please and a conventional Open Mic. Nobody has top billing and there’s no element of slam or competition. People who want to read (their own work or someone else’s) have a reasonable slot in which to do so – and to have constructive discussion with listeners and other contributors.
This event will include poems by Pablo Neruda, Antonio Machado and the Catalan poet Joan Salvat-Papasseit.
