Poet and playwright Amanda Dalton will be the special guest of Poets and Players alongside newer poets Rebecca Goss, Helen Mort, Andrew Rudd and singer-songwriter Ricky Damiani in another remarkable afternoon of poetry and performance in Whitworth Art Gallery, Oxford Rd, Manchester M15 6ER (opposite the Royal Infirmary).
Amanda Dalton is a poet and playwright. How To Disappear (Bloodaxe) was shortlisted for a Forward Prize and, in 2006, Amanda was selected as one of Britain’s 20 Next Generation Poets. She writes extensively for BBC Radios 4 and 3 and her original drama and adaptations for theatre include work at the Royal Exchange, Manchester, and with Wilson+Wilson and Sheffield Theatres. She teaches writing and is an Associate Director at the Royal Exchange Theatre. Her next poetry collection is on its way from Bloodaxe.
