Introduction to Scriptwriting workshop at Hebden Bridge

Julian Jordon introduces you to the basics of scriptwriting: making a start, creating character, the basics of plot, creating memorable scenes, setting out your script, pitching your script, and where next? You will see extracts from Julian’s work, plus other examples of professional film.

A professional writer and editor, Julian scripted the film, To The Sea Again, which was a finalist at film festivals in London, the US and Canada. He recently interviewed scriptwriters Jimmy McGovern (Cracker, The Street) and David Nobbs (Reggie Perrin) live at Wigan Words 09 Festival. He also founded Blooming Media where he edits, scripts and produces educational films, print and web media. He co-founded national poetry organisation, Write Out Loud.

A highly-experienced workshop facilitator, Julian has an MA in Scriptwriting from Salford University, an MSc in Human Resource Development, and various teaching and training qualifications. He looks forward to meeting you and hearing your ideas.
