The woman many regard as America’s greatest living poet, according to a recent Guardian interview, Sharon Olds was born in 1942 and lives in New York. From her very first collection in 1980 up to her most recent ninth book One Secret Thing (2009), she’s been astonishing readers all around the world with her bold investigations into love, sexuality and death.
