Victoria Hall, Dale Room.
Join award winning local poet Sue Wood for a fun session of creative writing, and readings from her new poetry collection. Beginners very welcome!
Sue will be reading from her award winning poetry collection ‘Imagine Yourself to be Water’ (Cinnamon Press, 2009) and running a relaxed writing workshop suitable for beginners and the more experienced.
She will focus on the theme of textiles; exploring words as embroidery, patchwork and plain stitching. Sue is a well known creative writing tutor who firmly believes that, given encouragement, everyone can play creatively with words.
Her own poems span Yorkshire, Africa, Australia and her love of visual art, and also celebrate intimate domestic moments such as the birth of her first grandchild and cleaning the bath!
Join her to help celebrate the silver threads that run through our common language, in the form of imaginative writing and poetry.
Entry: Free
Time: 2pm to 4pm
