Well, for our first two gigs we've presented Phill Jupitus, Laura Dockrill aka Dockers MC, Scroobius Pip and Polar Bear. For our third outing we present four of the hottest young things around....
KATE TEMPEST:
Formerly known as Excentral Tempest, currently otherwise known as frontwoman of Sound Of Rum, the youthful rapping poet has already been a huge draw on the scene for 5 years. Expect huge energy, social awareness and staggering lyrical maturity.
BYRON VINCENT:
The Sink Estate Dandy and festival stalwart has thrust a scrawny heel into poetry's bourgeois thraot. His punk, barking doggerel fuses comedy, poetry and candid bewilderment.
LUKE KENNARD:
Luk'e 1st poetry collection won the Eric Gregory Award 2005. His 2nd was shortlisted for the Forward Prize 2007 - making him the youngest writer to be nominated for the prestigious award. The Guardian, Times and Telegraph all hail him to be "brilliant".
MOLLY NAYLOR
A scriptwriter, poet and performer currently writing a radio drama for Radio 4. A hugely promising new talent.
Hosted by LUKE WRIGHT:
Luke has been described as “the best young performance poet around” by The Observer. He is host and curator of Latitude’s Poetry Arena and resident poet on Radio 4’s Saturday Live. His Valentine’s Day special on Channel 4 attracted over a million viewers.
