Comic Verse, Poetry and Prose. Bagel Brunch and AS MUCH TEA AS YOU CAN DRINK.
All set in a cosy cafe in the heart of Belsize Village.
Alan Wolfson, the self appointed pencil sharpener of pointlessness, effortlessly blurs the line between a bit hazy and completely out of focus. He has won several slams (Farrago, Bang said the gun, Poetry & Poppadoms) Alan is a regular at The Poetry Cafe, Utter, and Glitterbest. His poems can be poignant, surreal, or just plain silly. There's wit, there's wisdom, disposable religion and precious nonsense.
Helen Arney sings unusually funny, slightly skewy songs and stand-up, often with a piano or a ukulele in tow. August 2009 saw Helen perform her first solo Edinburgh Fringe show: the excessively titled 45 minute extravaganza of music and words known as "8+1/2 songs about love (and other myths)". The List gave it four stars and said: "Charming, witty and warm, with great one-liners… it’s like spending an evening with a funny, interesting, quirky friend”
Rosalind Nagler. Based on her observations of family, friends and life in general. Her work has featured on BBC radio, local radio and, more recently, Channel 4's 'Countdown'. She provides after dinner entertainment and finds it gratifying that her poetry has a wide appeal, even to those whodo not regard themselves as natural poetry lovers'.
Bagels, cakes and as much tea as you can drink will also be served!!
Price: £9.50
Time: 5:00pm
