It's the night before Halloween, and the ghosts are out in the Betsey Trotwood: launch of Helen Mort's second tall-lighthouse pamphlet, 'a pint for the ghost'.
'a pint for the ghost' is a sequence inspired by South Yorkshire legend: a night-time encounter with the ghosts of worked out mines, smoky pubs and deserted highways.
'This is an exciting collection from a writer who knows the value of the past, and how to set it against the present to illuminate them both.' - Ian McMillan
There'll be a short reading from the pamphlet, and ghost / pub themed poems from John McCullough, Michael McKimm and Tim Wells.
Dress to terrify (if you want!). Ghosts get in free.
