Long standing poetry night 8pm at the Albert (next to Huddersfield Library) with guest poets:

This month:

November’s readers at the Albert are Rosie Blagg, Andrew Boobier and Cora Greenhill. We also hope to be joined by Milner Place (tbc).

Rosie Blagg grew up in Somerset, and has lived in Leeds for the last seven years. She works as a freelance translator, and has had poems published in The North, The Wolf, and new magazine Cake.

Andrew Boobier was born in Haworth some time ago. His debut collection, Reader, help me was published in April 2008. Philip Gross wrote: “Andrew Boobier's poems wake you up and keep you on your toes, with their sudden out-of-the-corner-of-the-eye glimpses, time-slips and shifts of the voice…”

Cora Greenhill: "Writing poems for me is remembering to breathe. Sharing poems is breaking good bread together. My poems have appeared over the years in many magazines, anthologies, and publications such as Tears in the Fence, Staple, Fire, The Interpreter’s House, Bewilderbliss, as well as my own books.
