Fuel presents Melanie Wilson’s Iris Brunette on 20th and 21st
"A remarkable poet in word and sound, going straight to the heart of that longing for a last, precious touch of intimacy." Joyce McMillan, The Scotsman ****
Melanie Wilson’s beautifully crafted Iris Brunette comes to an end next weekend in Bristol, Nov 20th and 21st.
A sortie into a curious cityscape of the future past featuring Iris Brunette: part time-traveling refugee, part compassionate voyeur.
Using starhly elegant imagery, tender camaraderie and a dense and elegiac sound score, Iris delicately uncoils the remembrance of a friendship destroyed by the outbreak of war and the unfathomable demise of lost kinship and love.
A highly crafted and uniquely immersive experience. Melanie performed to enraptured audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe in August with one audience member saying “Iris Brunette should be prescription viewing for Fringe goers. A three week spa in under an hour.” She also won the award for best production at the Dublin Absolute Fringe in September.
Don’t miss your last chance to see Mel before she disappears to start work on her new project. And get 2for1 tickets for her 7pm and 9pm performances on Saturday 21st when you quote “Friends of Fuel” at box office (offer does not apply for online ticket sales).
