The evening will feature contributions from local poets and Words Festival favourites including Tony Walsh, Steve Morris, Matt Turner, drama and music from the local groups Willpower Youth Theatre and Wigan Pier Theatre Company, and music from Wigan singer-songwriter Matt Turner, Matthew Roughley, who sings with Wigan Youth Jazz Orchestra,, and Joan Blackburn of Wigan Folk Club. Compere is well- known Wigan raconteur, rugby player and now referee in his old age Malcolm Holland of Scholes. There will be contributions across all age ranges and the event is a family evening at which all members of the family are welcome.
