Salt publishing presents:

ELIZABETH BAINES & ROBERT GRAHAM

Elizabeth has been a teacher and is the prize-winning author of plays for radio & stage: she has actually performed one of her own stage monologues for the 24:7 Theatre Festival. Already the author of two novels, in 2007 she published (with Salt) a collection of short stories, "Balancing on the Edge of the World" - described by The Short Review as 'a stunning debut collection.' She is also known in Manchester as the Queen of Blogging, for her acclaimed blog, 'Fictionbitch', among others. She is reading tonight from her third novel, "Too Many Magpies."

Robert was born & brought up in Belfast - he & his family now live in Manchester, where he teaches Creative Writing at the Cheshire Campus of Manchester Metropolitan University. He is the author of several books on Creative Writing and the whole process of writing fiction - and has written & directed more than a dozen youth theatre productions. His first novel, "Holy Joe" was published by Troubador in 2006 and he is reading tonight from his new collection of short stories,
"The Only Living Boy.
