Mistletoe & Rhymes...

This event on 9th December 2009 has past.

Open Mic Event

Contact: scratchpoets@hotmail.co.uk

This night promises to be an incredible celebration of all the wonderful poetry goings on across the city. More poetry groups, nights and performers will be part of the hullabaloo than you could possibly imagine. A double woop and numerous high-fives to that!

Complimenting the irrefutable festive cheer will be the magical PoeTree... Yep, a tree filled up with unique poems by you lot and anyone else who finds themselves drawn in by the antics. Everyone will be encouraged to delicately (or manically) scribble down a poem on the night to be hung on our very special PoeTree so whether you're a secret poet or a well and truly outed master of the form, you can be part of this enchanting project. Yum yum yum...

This will be a brilliant night for new and established poets (and everyone in between) to have a flippin nice time and learn from each other along the way. Poetry in the area is something to shout about and share with the rest of the world so come down, bring your friends and be proud to be part of the extravaganza.

Open mic, tasty venue (just 5 minutes from Market Street), incredible people, beer, a tree and scrumptious poetry - you know you want to.

Put it in your diaries, spread the word - it's going to be delicious!
