It's the launch of the final 100s issue of Ambit! 199! One-nine-nine! Free entry, free wine, free juice, free poetry! Three writers appearing in the issue will be reading extracts of their work:
Joan Poulson: poet and children's writer, trained as a ceramicist, creator of a recent pamphlet with drawings in Japanese watercolour.
Judi Benson: spent two years as the writer-in-residence at the Dumfries and Galloway royal infirmary. Her third collection of poems, 'The Thin Places', was published in 2006.
John Hartley Williams: has published twelve collections of poetry. His latest collection, Café des Artistes (Cape), was published in 2009.
So come to Kentish Town on Thursday and banish those miserable winter blues with the transportive wonder of poetry and prose! See you there!
